Why English is Hard to Learn

We begin with box; the plural is boxes,
but the plural of ox is oxen, not oxes.
One fowl is a goose, and two are called geese,
yet the plural of moose is never calles meese.

You may find a lone mouse or a house full of mice;
but the plural of house is houses, not hice.
The plural of man is always men,
but the plural of pan is never pen.

If I speak of a foot, and you show me two feet,
and I give you a book, would a pair be a beek?
If one is a tooth, and the whole set are teeth, 
why shouldn't two booths be called beeth?

If the singular's this and the plural is these,
should the plural of kiss be ever called keese?

We speak of a brother and also of a brethren,
but though we say mother, we never say methren.
Then the masculine pronouns are he, his, and him;
but imagine the feminine... she, shis, and shim.

Mom

Here I tell you about mom.

Mom will angry at you when you don’t eat your meal.

She will angry at you if you don’t tell that u’re gonna go home late.

Mom will angry at you if you do any fool thing that can danger your life.

You know what, she does that because she loves you. She doesn’t want to lose you.

She will do anything just to see you happy.

She will put your needs first than her needs.

She always thinks about you when u’re not there beside her.

She always worries about you, your health.

She never wants to be apart from her child.

You beg her to buy you something, she says no. But behind the word ‘no’, she consider it all over and deep in her heart she always wants to get anything you want.

She can take care for  many children-you, your sibling(s)- but can you take care for just a mother?

For my  mom,

I’m sorry that I’ve done so many mistakes.

I’m sorry because I didn’t eat my meal, then I made you so busy take care of me when I was sick.

I’m sorry for many things that I’ve broke, hehe, I’ve broke your glasses and your plates.

I’m sorry for those lies.

I’m sorry for all I’ve done that made you sad, or even angry..

Using the Gouin Series to Increase the English Skill

The Gouin Series is an activity that helps to move students from listening to speaking.  It was developed by Francois Gouin in the 19th century. The teacher presents a series of six to eight relatively short statements that describe a logical sequence of actions that takes place in a specific context—buying a gift, cooking a meal, making a cake, making a phone call, writing and sending an email. The statements include concrete action verbs and use the same tense and the same person.  The teacher first presents the statements to the class orally, accompanying them with pantomime of the actions involved. The class responds first by doing the actions, and then responds by saying the words while still performing the actions. The class speaks first as a group and then as individuals.

Example of a Gouin Series:

• I put my book in my bag.
• I walk to class.
• I enter the classroom.
• I sit down.
• I take out my book.
• I put my book on the table.
• I open my book.

Teaching In The 21st Century

I'm studying in Teacher Training and Education Faculty now, and few years later I'm going to be a teacher, and supposed to be a teacher, English teacher exactly. Then, what do you think about education in the next few years? Do you think that the students will bring their books in their ransels? Nope, they won't.
